Second round of pre trail trail angels include my mom and Damon's parents.

My mom has been a huge support on the emotional side, as well as helping me manage all of the paperwork stuff for going on the trail. She is the person I call to talk with when days are crazy or things don't go the way I want. It helps to just be able to sit and talk with her, which typically brings down my anxiety level to one that is manageable. She also is a great sounding board for all of the little details that we have been getting together for the trip. I am taking some pretty big adulting steps leading up to this trip, just in case something would happen to one of us on the trail. She has helped support me with each of those facets and has been willing to come up multiple times from Portland to help me pack and clean. Just having someone else around to help out makes things easier.

Diana and Steve, Damon's mom and dad, have been such a support in the immediate things. Diana helps just organize the details for the now. They allowed us to take over their house for a week with all of our garage sale stuff, as well as cleaning out their house to find stuff for us to sell. Diana sat in the rain with us, let me go "I don't know what to price it," and fed us as much as we could eat. It was such a blessing to be able to make all of the extra money for our trip, as well as have a place large and safe enough to put all of our stuff before and after the garage sale. They also are willing to take on having Lucky if he were to scratch while we were still hiking. They currently have two cats and a dog, yet they are willing to welcome Lucky.
